Removal of worn refractory from the combustion chamber, anchor inspection, firebrick placement, refractory application and curing.
Damage is first assessed in place. Cracked and spalled refractory is removed under control and the supporting surface and anchors beneath are inspected. Damaged anchors are renewed. Firebrick and insulating blocks are placed, with castable or gunning applied where required. Burner and gas passages are formed correctly and the curing process is completed.
